UpNp help and other stuff.

Okay I want to enable the upnp (duno what that is but its not enabled on my ps3 or torrents) I tried doing the portforward guide on forwarding ports and I don't know if I didn't do something right or it just didn't work.

I have a wusb54g wireless router and I'm connected to a 2wire 2701HG-B Gateway modem.
So does anyone have an Idea as to how I enable the upnp?

Also since my routers connects up to 54mbps should I really be getting speeds up to 70kbs when downloading or streaming or should it be higher than that? (never was clear on that whole thing).

If not how can I go about getting the maximum speed out of my router or is it my modem that is slow? Also this modem shares a connection between 3 computers, my brothers computer seems to get all the speed most of the time and he constantly laggs my connection to where I can barely even search the web so Is there anyway for me to like block him so that way I don't loose speed?

 

Try using Simple Port Forwarding, it works well on my 2701HG-B,-V.

 

Okay I installed that and now I'm having trouble, I clicked getting started followed the steps and now I'm having trouble I switched to a static ip and I didn't update the router because it went to the 2wire gateway page and asked for the password should I update it? ( I don't want to mess anything up). when it tries to test the port it says it fails.

 

Try following this walkthrough, I think it's closest to the model you have.
