Well I'm kinda new to this and I did the Read & Run topic.

Now ... I read about someone with the same problem as me. Everything is gone thx to all those spyware removers but when I start IE that website keeps coming back.

Now ... I tried the cure but all you said wasn't in my PC so I figured it would need a different cure :)

I hope you can help me get rid of that nastly malware :)

    HiJackThis.log included!

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
      • CounterSpy - ONLY IF you were not able to run Windows Defender
      • Bitdefender - from step 6
      • Panda Scan - from step 6
      • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
      • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
      • HijackThis
NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!

OMG ... That BitDefender thingy is already scanning for 25mins and it says it will need to scan for over 2h and 23mins.

I'm sorry but this isn't needed for MALWARE! I have a AntiVirus and I like it. Never had any problems with it!

Those scans take a LOT of time and are useless if you have a good AV!

Don't get me wrong ... I want you to help me but not make me waste 10h just for a MalWare ... I could just format c:/ and reinstall all I have and it would take less time (but I don't want to do it all over AGAIN.)

These statements are so far from incorrect that it is not funny.

If you don't have malware problems, why are you here in this forum looking for help? And if your AV is so perfect, why do you have malware problems?

This is also quite often not true when you consider all that is really involved and I will list some of things people don't always consider below. But it's your choice what you want to do.

But a new install involves more than you may think. Especially to get back to a level of where you system is at. You have to consider all of the below:
    • you have to backup all you own data, settings, configurations etc and first you have to know what/where all of these are. And you have to have the medium (burnable media, second hard drive, tape drive [yuck] )
    • then you must make sure you have the necessary disks to reinstall not just your OS but all other software you use especially protection before going online
    • then fdisk, format, reinstall the OS
    • now reinstall all your software especially protection
    • get online (requires some setup and config that novices have problems with)
    • download updates for OS
    • download updates for protection software
    • download updates for all other software
    • tweak all software back the way you like it. Including Desktop settings, icons etc.
    • create all the folders that you use for everything in your normally routines
    • re-load from your backups to get data back, to get settings, Favorites,.....etc back
    • now over the next two weeks you will realize that you forgot to backup some stuff and also you will keep finding something else that you need to reinstall.
In the time while you were waiting for a response you could have completed the scans.

Well people sleep, work, eat, ... and once I finished the BitDefender (2h 37m) I did that Panda. It went a bit quicker but I couldn't safe the report so I said ****it and started to mess around in my Registry and it's fixed now!

Thx for the long routine that turned out not to help afterall!

This is a free forum and we also have to sleep, work, and eat. If you don't like the way we do things you are always welcome to take your problems elsewhere!
