Urgent help required ref wireless issue

Hello people, I'm very much hoping someone can help me here as my son has a very odd problem with his win7 64bit PC. What makes it urgent is that my son lives in a long term mental health hospital as he has Aspergers Syndrome and related neurological problems and the internet is his saviour at the moment.

Basically here is the story :

He accidentally walked into and broke his USB wireless reciever 5 days ago.

He bought a new one (which a nurse has tested on their PC with no problems)

He installed it and ever since then he can connect to the hospitals wireless router but gets the dreaded "unidentified network no internet access".

The "tech bloke" from the hospital has tried all the normal related tricks but to no avail

He has tried another wireless receiver but gets the exact same problem.

There are no older sys restore points than when he installed the new wireless receiver software and he tried that one but with no joy.

Does anyone have any ideas at all please, it really is causing him a great deal of stress and he deals with that very badly

Shotgunning it here:
1) check hospital wi fi name and password is correct, maybe he picked up a patient's by accident
2) Try setting the hospital as "home" network - this is only a test and will need to be changed
3) Open a command prompt and type "ipconfig /all" without the quotes, post what you find
