    Please use add/remove programs to uninstall:
    LiveUpdate 3.2 (Symantec Corporation)
    LiveUpdate Notice (Symantec Corporation)

    Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

    Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

    Now copy just the bold text below to notepad (Do not include any space above the word REGEDIT). Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
    Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
    to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

    Your SAS log is here:
    Code:
    "C:\Documents and Settings\Mayur Shivakumar\Application Data\SUPERAntiSpyware.com\SUPERAntiSpyware\Logs\"
    supera~1.log  Jun 22 2010       35425  "SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log - 06-22-2010 - 18-17-56.log"
    Tell me what issues you are having.

    i did all the thing you told me to do . i could not find

    O23 - Service: LiveUpdate Notice Service Ex (LiveUpdate Notice Ex) - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSvcHst.exe (file missing)

    The fixME.reg thing worked.

    . I have attached the SAS logs there are two logs in one log i saw it found some and deleted.

    i have had one problem for some time now the visual studio just in time debugger pops up and the error message says : An unhandeled exception('Object requried:Wscript' ) occurred in sprtcmd.exe[568].

    does this mean my system is free from virus for now ?

    What I can see of stopzilla ( I can only see three files ) are either quarantined files, a false positive and a system restore file.

    Let's have you do an online scan. Using BitDefender Online Scan. You will save and attach the log as a txt file.

    Hi ,
    i scanned in bit defender like you said. i could not get the file in tab delimited format ; because in save as type there is only HTML option in the drop down. i have attached the file in html format. In the attachment it says txt because your site wont let me upload html content type.your advise is greatly appreciated . thank you. have a good week end.

    The only thing that it found, for the most part are items in your system restore folders. You will have to toggle system restore to flush those folders.

    If you are still getting redirected, and we are not seeing any cause for it, do make sure you have reset your router in case it has been compromised.

    Tell me what is happening now.

    You will need to pursue the visual studio issues in the softrware forum. Other than that, what malware issues are you having?

    Let's see if Combo will fix the infection. If not, you should uninstall Spysweeper, run CCleaner and reinstall Spysweeper. In the meantime:

    * Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
    If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    * Also make sure you have shut down all protection software (antivirus, antispyware...etc) or they may get in the way of allowing ComboFix to run properly.
    * If ComboFix tells you it needs to update to a new version, make sure you allow it to update.
    * Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the below code box into it (make sure you scroll all the way down in the code box to get all lines selected ):
    Code:
    KILLALL::

    TDL::
    c:\windows\system32\drivers\ssfs0bbc.sys

    * Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    * At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    * You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
    If it asks you to overide the previous file with the same name, click YES.
    * Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v666/sUBs/CFScriptB-4.gif
    * Follow the prompts.
    * When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\combofix.txt
    * I will ask for this log below

    Note:

    Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

    Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:

    * C:\ComboFix.txt
    * C:\MGlogs.zip

    Make sure you tell me how things are working now!
