Hi guys being fairly new to comp's i was wondering if i can purchase a cpu in the states (while on a buisness trip) and put it into my uk motherboards, or are all the frequencys different and it wont work. As im away for a few weeks and notices stores in us are cheaper than in the uk.

    Many thanks

As far as I know, the only difference is the power supply. And even then, most power supplies have a switch on the back to change from a 115V input to a 230V input. So, to answer your question, yes, you should be able to buy stuff here and plug it into your comp back home.
