USB ADSL modem problem help me

hi guys
I m using ADSL connection of Airtel and using 220bx modem but facing a problem of disconnection. i m having win xp service pack 2 and windows 98 aftersome time my modem which is installed on usb port stop responding like it stop pinging so i got disconnect. but on LAN card my modem and connection running very well no disconnection.

is the usb port is creating problem pls help me what is do

A. i have changed the modem
B. i have changed usb port
C. i have formated the pc
D. i have installed the different company's modem

but still no results

In Device Manager, double click on ISB Controllers, then double click each USB Root Hub, Under Power Management, make sure the box next to "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is unchecked. If there is more than one, do the same to all of them.

If there is an entry for Network Adapters, you could try doing the same thing with them as well.

You mentioned Win98 and WinXP.

You have one computer or two computers?

P.S. In general, the USB Modem is not as stable as Ethernet.

If you can switch to Ethernet and connect through a Network Card instead of USB, you would get a better connection.

 

sir i have 10 computers but is any thing can be possible to stable connection with USB port

 

The solution is to get/buy an external Ethernet modem, a Router, and configure a Non USB Network.
