usb being fussy

Ok, not sure if this where I should be putting this but we can move the thread if need be. So the problem is this,I just bought a Sansa e 250 and I'm having problems getting anything on it. Any photos have these little red dots going across it and any music has intermittent interference in it. Everything else that is plugged into the usb ports works (printer,keyboard and mouse).I've also tried it in all the ports, the weird thing is a year ago I bought a 512 mb sansa and had the same problem with it and several other mp3 players.I ended up buying a usb 2.0 PCI card and everything seemed to work fine after that but now it' the same thing all over again. Even the 512 player no longer works....so I'm sure it's a problem when the files are being transfered to the players but after that I'm at a loss. Any ideas?? PS, I just tried the web cam and that seems screwy to......so half the gear works and half does not....what gives? Can I just uninstall everything and reboot and windows will reinstall the drivers........if that is the problem.

 

Have a look at the Motherboard support , at the motherboard manufacturers site to see if ther are any driver updates for your motherboard.
