Just installed SP2 and my EPSON printer and HP Scanner did not work..the solution was to go into device manager and reinstall all of the drivers (the USB drivers were the only ones that actually got updated but do all of them just in case) see attached.

Bo when you go into Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes whats listed? are there any icons to allow you to get to printer properties?

if nothing is listed and you have installed your printer drivers/software then just check that the print spooler service is not disabled.

another thing if you havnt tried to re-install the printer drivers do so again.

Halo, everything is cool, thanks. My post was simply to inform others of my problem after installing SP2 and what fixed it, namely, reinstalling the USB drivers that the porinter plugs into, also the scanner. That was done in dievice manager in USB Controller. Once that was done everything was fine.

Thanks, anyway and I see what you mean...Since my scanner was disabled also I figured it had to do with the USB drivers.
