    Hello There,

This may seem a stupid question to ask but I am currently running windows vista home premium sp2 and I want to know is what do I select in usb memory type in bios (Base memory 640K/Shadow). When it was resetted to default (which Shadow is default option) my computer sometimes freezes in windows and a bsod comes up or it will work fine untill you come to shutting down the computer and it wont shut down.

if Base memory is selected my computer runs fine without any problems.

Hope someone can answer this for me.

It would help if we had some hardware specs: motherboard make/model primarily.... but if the change to 'Base' works, and you have no other issues, then why not keep it there? Maybe check your motherboard maker's web site and see if there's an updated BIOS that addresses this problem.....
