Usb Not Working In Win7

    Dell Inspiron N5110 running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    I currently have the mouse in the right USB port, and just got a USB drive to work in the rear port.

    The USB port on the left doesn't work at all.
    Any ideas what I ought to look at? Should I get my screwdriver out again?
    If so - any recommendations for troubleshooting the defunct trackpad?
