   Dont know why either, a couple of months ago they were all fine, but now they only recognises usb-units every once i a while. The rest of the time: Nothing.
   I dont know how this could have happend.
   Even the outlets on the back of my computer (which i never ever ever have used) are failing me.
   Can there be something software-ish that screwing it up or is the problem physical?

   Are their any issues ( yellow ! marks ) listed in Device Manager concerning USB?
   
   Have you at any point since they were all working fine, re-installed the OS?
   
   Which OS and service pack version are you using?
   
   If you unplug all but one USB hardware device, does that work in any of the ports?
