    Hi all,
Bit of help if poss please.
    I have a K7NF2-RAID ASRock mobo.
The manual tells me i have USB 2.0 ports.
When i plug my printer in, it tells me that if i plug it into a high speed port it will improve performance.
When i click the bubble to tell me what high speed ports i have it tells me i have none?
    Any clues?
    Cheers.

Go into the BIOS and make sure all USB ports are enabled and set for USB 2.0.... sometimes certain BIOS's will set the USB's to 1.1 by default or for 'Fail-Safe Settings'. If everything is already set to 2.0, try updating your chipset drivers by going to ASRock's website. Sometimes Windows Update will have a USB driver update under Optional Updates > Hardware in the left column....

    Thanks for the reply dave.
The bios is set to recognise usb 2.
I have looked at windows update, no joy.
I have looked on my mobo install cd, this is what it says about usb2,

    Job sorted.
I found the answer in the faq section of asrock site.
All i had to do was go to device manager and click update driver on the usb controllers and click install automatically.
Looks like the drivers where there all along but hadn't installed without a bit of help.
    Thanks again.

I have the same problem - gives Me the notice that I can get faster results if I connect to a usb 2.0. However, the problem may be a from a different cause.

First - there are onboard usb ports. In addition, I have added 2 usb cards, each with 4 ports. It makes no differnce where I connect, I get the notice.

In the universal Serial Bus controllers section of the device manager I have:

1 Intel USB Universal host controller
    10 USB Root Hub
6 VIA Rev 5 or later USB universal host controller
3 VIA USB Enhanced host controller

I could not find the usb 1.1 entry in the bios. When I tried to update the driver, the message was that I have the latest driver.

I read today that installing more than one usb card will complicate things and that it would be better to use a hub.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated
