usb problem

helo, everytime i plug a usb device in,my computer goes nuts,the hardware wizard flashes on and off and i cant shut it down,i checked for conflicts and i get a usb root hub 2 message,i dont know alot about these things please help, i want to see my daughter through a web cam,yours most grateful

 

What is the exact wording of the USB 2 root hub error message! One thing that you might try is booting in safe mode and delete/uninstall this device from within Device Manager and reboot.

hello and thanks,the message reads there was a problem with the installation and this device might not work properly with a yellow triangle,even though i checked and the drivers are in ok,the strange thing is my printer scans and lets me preview an image but when i go to print it says its not installed,once again the drivers are from disc,when i check ther in,i have a kodak easy share camera in,usb too and it displays the images ok,the web cam doesnt do nething apart from the leds light up,the printer sends the hardware manager apes too and the comp hangs,i will try out your suggestion and let you know,many thanks jason

 

the message is this device might not work properly with a yellow triangle,the same with printer,although the printer lets me preview scans but wont print and my easy share camera lets me see my photos,its seems that any drivers loaded by disc wont work although i can see there in,ihave taken a look at the link,very interesting i will try some of the suggestions in it if ican and let you know,thanks for your timeand assistance yours jason
