Hi, :wave Im new to this website and I am having a problem with my USB speakers. I had a Windows Genuine Validation error which means that my copy of Windows was not valid. I received a new Windows XP CD and a Service Pack 2 CD. Both were installed individually. I lost control of my mouse and keyboard but then purchased a PS2 mouse and keyboard and have taken care of that. The problem now is that my USB speakers dont work. I went into the control panel into the system file and there is nothing to indicate a problem there with my speakers. I even reinstalled the driver and tried updating the driver. Everything is plugged in to where it should be. The speakers are C-Media AC97 USB speakers. Everything appears to be working but I cant hear the sound. Help!::banghead

you will need to know what kind of motherboard you have...I guess winxp hasn't installed the correct usb drivers for your system...check the motherboard manufacturer's website for their chipset drivers, or usb drivers...or if it's a brand name computer check their site.
