USB to PCI adapter box

We are currently using a standard height PCI card in our PC's for communication. The card uses a proprietary communication scheme. The new PCs that are being purchased are compact PCs which will not accommodate a standard height PCI card. We are looking for a USB to PCI adapter box so we can plug our PCI card into an external device and communicate from the PCI card into the PC through the USB port.
