Me: Holy crap, how can you even function with this laptop anymore?

worker: Well, I just use it to check email.

Me: Thats not what the virus software log says bro.

    worker: What do you mean?

Me: I am pretty sure that 1001 sex and more, Britney spears (edited).jpg, Britney spears (edited).jpg, etc. aren't part of company email or documents.

Other dude ----> *promply gets in vehicle and leaves job site*

According to all my IT Droid buddies, it is the record :D. Wish I got paid by the infection, I would be going to Hawaii at least 3 times this summer LOL.

So these IT buddies could possibly pitch in, maybe??

You've got my spyware/adware found record of ~ 450 beat by a bit there :p

I think I'll be referring my IT coworkers to this thread for future record attempts, just to prove they haven't reached it :D

My average Windows install never survives more than a couple of months, much less going that long before a defrag

that's fine, no problem. What's a little spyware.
I can beat your defrag record, but I don't have proof. I had a windows 98 machine here the other day that was over 1000 days. Prety much since we sold the unit to her it had never been done.

I hear ya, but it was actually virus stuff, Netskyp and variants and some weird trojan that started with a Q. Can't remember the name. The report is on my desk at work.

I assume this was a company laptop, since he brought it to you. Does your company have a policy about accessing porn or using the company computers for personal use? If so, is he in hot water over it?

Did anyone think of the possibility that this guy may be dating britney spears and she simply sent him a few pictures?

Seriously, if you thought that, please tell me because I'd find it funny.

Yes they do, problem is this was a contractor(construction) in a trailor working on an addition to the campus. Not one of our laptops but they are given network access for email, drawings, etc. It's kind of a grey area. Can't realy police what they do, but your responsible if they end up taking the network down. Im pretty sure the message got across. If not we'll shut their switch down permanently and post a notice on the trailor door for all to read :).

I once ran Cleanup! (Cleanup! http://www.stevengould.org/ ) on a friends one man shop PC. Cleanup! found over 65,000 instances :p (cookies, etc.) of stuff on his PC. It took so long to run that I thought I had done something wrong.

I always run these 3 after every session on the Internet. All are free. If you decide to use them, make sure you check what defaults are ticked on EACH program as each one runs independently of the other one/ones. Bazza
