Need to know what sort of specific problem or virus (if it is a virus) that you're trying to fix. Is it the same problem described in this thread here at Major Geeks? (which is not due to a virus -- it's a memory conflict between the Windows operating system and the Realtek audio installed on some motherboards):

Link for downloading a patch/fix appears in the above thread. Once you've downloaded the fix you'll have to double-click it to run it and may have to reboot your computer. But read the info carefully before you use it to make sure your problem is the one this patch is designed to fix. That's why it's important to post a specific description of your problem or concern and at least basic hardware and OS (operating system) information.

Simply posting that you need help fixing user32.dll doesn't tell us what kind of fix is appropriate. You could have a virus infection or if you installed new hardware or software recently that could be the cause of the problem. Or, as in the above post, if you recently downloaded and installed Windows updates that might have led (as in the linked thread above) to the discovery of a problem

Had you downloaded and installed some MS Windows updates just before you got the notice of the changed file? Or maybe installed some other software? Those kinds of things can cause even key system files to change sometimes and that's nothing to be alarmed about as long as AVG showed "0 threats detected" (or similar language).

If you're still unsure about what to do I'd suggest running a full system scan with AVG and confirm that it shows 0 (zero) threats detected at the end of the full system scan. If it does then everything is probably fine.

As Eezak says, A Recent Microsoft updates caused my firewall (Ashampoo) to say an attempt to change a file is being made, as it was being downloade, and offered a choice, to allow, or block . Just be sure to find out which program is changing it, - if it is Windows,-o.k, if something else you do not know, block it.
