If your a user of Outlook 2016 (version 16.0.6568.2025) and use POP3 email with it, seems an update has caused an issue where in the settings email is set by defauly to be deleted after 14 days if you have Leave a copy of messages on the Server option enabled, which it generally is by default.

    • After Outlook downloads your email, all the email messages on the server are deleted from the Inbox.
    • Email messages are downloaded multiple times in Outlook, causing duplicate items.
To workaround this follow this info HERE until a fix is pushed out.

As I have seen at least one thread here with deleted emails from more so the online side of Outlook email, I wanted to highlight this issue as I know many corporates and self employed users here use Outlook so didnt want important email going missing.

Checked all 3 of my POP3 account and all had this issue, of the delete after 14days, but I have not as far as I know lost or had duplicated emails. I'm at 16.0.6741.2017 so higher than where the fix is, so double check even if you are at a higher version number your email settings.

NOTE: I dont need any help with missing/duplicated emails as I have actioned this, just a heads- to the members/users at Majorgeeks.
