Using a DVR with digital cable

    If you have digital cable (or satelite) that requires you to tune your TV to channel 3 and switch channels via the cable box, can you use a DVR? I imagine you can tune the DVR to channel 3 and manually switch the cable to whatever channel you want to record, but I'm talking about using the guide and scheduling features that make DVRs so convenient. Can it be done?
