A new build of Knoppix 3.3 has been just released

The changelog:

- Euro symbol works again in konsole, but font scanning
at startup is slow (fontconfig?)
- Added bittorrent ncurses client
- ALSA package update
- "knoppix testcd" option is now more verbose.
- Changed default timings in monitor detection
(may give better results with DDC-capable monitors,
but you will probably have to use "knoppix vsync=60"
for non-DDC-capable TFT displays).
- the usual bunch of Debian package updates

Perhaps you try the knoppix vsync=60 setting on the previous Knoppix CD

Btw another home user friendly distro coming next month: Xandros Desktop OS version 2 - http://www.xandros.com/release13.html

The deluxe version comes with Crossover Office 2.1 and Crossover Plugin. Crossover Office has the ability to run Windows software like Office XP, Photoshop or Dreamweaver native under Linux. However, there is no free version of Xandros available.

Downloading new version, ill try the 60 hz line, my monitor is forced to that.

I saw Xandros and will probably try it depending on the terms. Looks like $39.95 US, want to see if that includes updates, etc.

I would get the deluxe edition ($89.00, -15% off - see this special) because it comes with Crossover Office 2.1 and Crossover Plugin

Updates are included. Also, Xandros is fully package compatible with Debian, e.g. you can install nearly all available Debian packages with the Xandros Update utility
