A program called MyFolders allows you to map to external drives on your network and works well with Windows 10. I think I saw a post here a few years ago about MyFolders but now I am wondering if anyone knows if it will work in Windows 11. Will it?

No I don't think that is it. I found it here https://updov.com/download-myfolders/ but it can also be downloaded from right here inside major Geeks. That site I linked says it works with Windows 11. I hope someone here can confirm that.

You can just open cmd and type net use F: \\networkdevice\share to map drives.
You can add persistence and/or make a script that runs at startup.
Also you can make a folders shortcut like that program too, make a folder and put all the shortcuts you want access to.
Right click on the task bar and select toolbars > new toolbar & select the folder you created earlier. You can modify by turning off text or titles.

Thanks but not sure I understand all that is said here or if it would work for me as MyFolders does. Inside MyFolders I have around 80 mapped folders, mostly to external drives or network computers. Thanks for the reply and I'll have to try to understand it later.

Does anyone know why I cannot see a network computer when trying to map to a folder using MyFolders? I can see the computer in Windows File Explorer every time I open it but MyFolders doesn't see it. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

OK, let me try this. Can anyone tell me where MyFolders stores its mapped shortcuts to folders and drives?

Map network drive gives you equivalent functionality without the need for any third party apps.

I can't argue that. However, I have so many drives and folders I create shortcuts to using MyFolders there aren't enough letters in the alphabet to allow me to Map Network drives without it.

There's no arguing with that either, but sadly don't have any other suggestions either:(
