Hi all. My daughter has a toshiba satellite that a family member added a bunch of stuff on and thought he improved it. She would like to use the recovery disc she got with the computer to reset the whole thing. Is this safe to do? Will it be the same as when she bought it? Thanks for any help forthcoming. :confused

Yes, it will restore it to factory settings and it's safe. You will need to install any programs you had before and don't forget to save your pictures, documents, etc. They will be gone otherwise.

Thanks Just! Daughter just got off the phone with toshiba support and they said they'll call her back in about 25 mins. and walk her through it. :>) Just in case though, she has the two restore discs the store gave her from windows and toshiba when she bought the computer. Will write back if we need to do that.
