using windows media player 11

I was just curious how come if I have a movie clip downloaded on another computer and I can watch it on there..............why I can't do it on my other computer hooked to the same network????? All it will do is play sound but no picture.

 

Have you checked, tools/options/files types on the computer? if you put ur cursor on type it will tell you the extensions (in Media Player Window)

 

are u using Windows media player on both computers? have you downloaded any plug-ins to support the file you are trying to play?

 

if it's playing audio but no video, you will probably need to download the correct codecs for the file, they may not be installed on one of the computers.
do a google search for a codec pack

downloading the k-lite codec pack worked for me too, I found out i had 2 codec packs already installed on my computer I didnt know about. The k-lite codec pack found them and uninstalled them. Very nice and fixed all my problems.
