If you were going to go and fix a computer with an unknown problem, what programs would you put on a CD that might be useful?

This is a nice question! :)

I'd make a version of BartPE which includes Adaware, HijackThis, Spybot, CCleaner... other spyware removal stuff.

I'd also have memtest, prime95, sandra, and an install of Folding@Home on a CD to test working installs.

Actuall if you find and download the ultimate boot cd for windows.

it will make a bart pe disc with most everything you'll need. It certainly beats getting everything yourself. just remember to update the adaware and antivir defs before you burn it, the ones in the iso are a bit dated.

I'd put some AC/DC on a CD so I could rock out when I got too stressed about not being able to fix the PC problem *grins*
