I'm enjoying watching it fall farther and farther down to the bottom of the first page.

It had a good run, but everything must come to an end.

I'll miss the laughs too that I got on reading some of the responses! But oh well, life will go on (I hope).

 

If threads were actual conversations, imagine happening upon two people speaking in a rapid-fire, one-word response dialogue...for months.

I wonder if this also puts the poor-man's podcast in the crosshairs too.

Glad to see it gone. There's some pretty large contributors to it. Kind of makes a joke of earning status by number of posts at MG. I thought that Kodo's "picture association" thread from a ways back would have survived longer. I guess people had to actually work to contribute to that.

To bad for starbow1er, That and what are you listening to are the only things ive seen him reply to.

 

Personally, I find it really quite neat to be a part of a site that periodically closes and/or deletes the incredibly annoying and time-consuming threads like word association, what are you listening to, and other games. I'm not allowed to do so at the site where I work (in fact, one of our long-time moderators was "fired" for deleting some a couple of years ago). The owner of our site is the one who normally starts them.

Thanks for not letting them run rampant here!

Actually, I'm a she! And honestly, I've replied to things in the past just lately I'm at a few other sites, and I'm in a hurry when I get on here and those threads are ones that I didn't have to read through, or shall I say were quick to do. I've replied to several threads here this week (for the record), I'm just getting lazy to read new threads, what can I tell you!
I never posted anywhere other then the lounge, as if I have computer problems, my son takes care of them so no need to start thread in those sections, He visits this site on occasion and some of you know him!
I hate to admit, but I've never really looked at all the forums here, (after a half year!) I'm either too busy or too lazy!
Just as well anyway, (no offense) but, I sit too long in front of this darn computer anyway! I used to tease my son about being in front of his computer all the time and now he teases me about it! lol!

I have to admit I enjoyed the thread. Never even thought about the number of posts.

You could see a person's frame of mind when they posted, sad, happy, silly, serious, etc...
It was fun.

Hmmmm.....figure an average of 7 or 8 a day......thought I had more on the music thread since I'm always listening to it!
Actually, 7 or 8 a day doesn't hold true. There were times I would come home from work in the wee hours of the morning, post on it and while I was still sitting in front of computer doing other stuff, being I have the email alerts, someone else was around (different time zones I guess) would post and we'd go back and forth for a bit since they liked to do it too, whereas other days maybe 2 or 3 times a day. When I come home from work I relax by going on the computer, settles me down before I go to bed.
Let's face it, some of us liked it, some of us didn't!

 

I agree with StarBow1er!

But I find myself lurking in the software and spyware section again attempting to learn new things from Chas and the others there.

Until another new thread grabs my attention in the Lounge again!

Yes it was some party, and I was on here yesterday, but I didn't feel like writing anything. I got home from the party at 2:00am, my wife showed up at 6:00.
