V6 Super install on Huawei G300 help plz

I haven't put ROM's on phones before. A friend asked for my help. I have looked for a good and step by step tut but they are all either incomplete, or without a really good step by step method missing crucial and no doubt obvious steps to the initiated. Would someone kindly direct me to a good step by step guide? So far I have the V6 Turbocharger starter kit, and my friend had already DL'ed the other bits and pieces that you need directly to his phone. As part of the guide I also installed the Java Developer console. I can't seem to establish which version of Android I need, and am wary of taking that potentially lethal step..only the penitent man will pass and all that!
