    Vafmusic2, Desk 365, and Conduit infection.
    Tried to uninstall from the control panel.
    Then ran the anti-virus on my computer (eset) and ccleaner.
    Next, came here and ran READ ME, below are the logs.
    HitmanPro found stuff, but I did not delete anything.
    I don't know how to fix, please help!

    Thank you!!

    Marie

    http://img805.imageshack.us/img805/9659/rktigzy.gif Fix items using RogueKiller.

    Double-click RogueKiller.exe to run. (Vista/7 right-click and select Run as Administrator)
    When it opens, press the Scan button
    Now click the Registry tab and locate these 4 detections:

    • [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKCU\[...]\Run : BackgroundContainer ("C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Rundll32.exe" "C:\Users\vdl\AppData\Local\Conduit\BackgroundContainer\BackgroundContainer.dll",DllRun [7][7][x]) -> FOUND
    • [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKUS\S-1-5-21-373611193-1220401395-3329169527-1001\[...]\Run : BackgroundContainer ("C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Rundll32.exe" "C:\Users\vdl\AppData\Local\Conduit\BackgroundContainer\BackgroundContainer.dll",DllRun [7][7][x]) -> FOUND
    • [V2][SUSP PATH] BackgroundContainer Startup Task : "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Rundll32.exe" - "C:\Users\vdl\AppData\Local\Conduit\BackgroundContainer\BackgroundContainer.dll",DllRun [7][7][x] -> FOUND
    • [V2][SUSP PATH] temp_SuperLyrics-16-enabler : C:\Users\vdl\AppData\Local\Temp\nsb6D73.tmp\SuperLyrics-16-enabler.exe - /removebhoenableinfo /agentregpath='SuperLyrics-16' /appid=44162 /srcid='000574' /subid='1060-2080' /zdata='d:gui.doneopen.net' /bic=3154AE85023B43E88BD62EFD58FD389BIE /verifier=b90761c9d9e02af36b39d7fbcd9adb56 /installerversion=1_29_153 /statsdomain=hxxp://stats.srvmystats.com /errorsdomain=hxxp://errors.srvmystats.com /bhoguid=11111111-1111-1111-1111-110411411162 /externallog='C:\Users\vdl\AppData\Local\Temp\SuperLyrics-16Uninstaller_1383002633.log' [x][x][x][x][x] -> FOUND
    Place a checkmark each of these items, leave the others unchecked.
    Now press the Delete button.
    When it is finished, there will be a log on your desktop called: RKreport[2].txt
    Attach RKreport[2].txt to your next message. (How to attach)
    Reboot the machine.

    Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

    Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    • R3 - URLSearchHook: Vafmusic2 Toolbar - {7f3f960e-a836-45ca-8911-0accb522246e} - C:\Program Files (x86)\Vafmusic2\prxtbVafm.dll
    • O2 - BHO: Vafmusic2 - {7f3f960e-a836-45ca-8911-0accb522246e} - C:\Program Files (x86)\Vafmusic2\prxtbVafm.dll
    • O3 - Toolbar: Vafmusic2 Toolbar - {7f3f960e-a836-45ca-8911-0accb522246e} - C:\Program Files (x86)\Vafmusic2\prxtbVafm.dll
    • O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [BackgroundContainer] "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Rundll32.exe" "C:\Users\vdl\AppData\Local\Conduit\BackgroundContainer\BackgroundContainer.dll",DllRun

    After clicking Fix exit HJT.

    Re run Hitman and have it delete all of the Potential Unwanted Programs.

    Delete this:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Vafmusic2

    http://imageshack.us/a/img841/7292/thisisujrt.gif Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

    Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. (Right click and run as admin if using Vista, Windows7 or Win8) Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.

    Let me know of any problems you may have encountered with the above instructions and also let me know how things are running now!

    On HijackThis, could not find this one to delete:
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [BackgroundContainer] "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Rundll32.exe" "C:\Users\vdl\AppData\Local\Conduit\BackgroundContainer\BackgroundContainer.dll",DllRun

    I continued through the steps, eveything seems to be working ok.

    Attached are the new logs.

    Thanks Kestrel!

    Here is the updated log for Hitman Pro.
    It took me awhile to find the "check box" for deleting Potential Unwanted Programs (I kept thinking it was a tab, sorry).

    Please let me know what else I should do.

    Thank you!

    If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
