So what did you get for or receive?

I sent my missus an email :-D

I'll make it upto her when I get some money :cool

I'm thinking I might take her down to Niagara for a slap up meal and a night in a bed with the sound of the falls making us want to pee all night lol

I did see one guy, actually bought a case of diet root beer for his wife for Vakentines?!?!! I suspect my day will go better than his. ;) Hope all you suckers.. I mean loving couples, have a great day!

I wrote my husband a long letter for Valentine's day a couple of years ago, that started with this:

    Happy Hallmark Day everyone...

I'm making a surf and turf meal for the lady. Lobster tails, grilled bison tenderloin and roasted root veggies with all the sauces for the above and she made her fantastic cheesecake for desert with some nice single malt to wash it all down.:drool I think we'll be too tired after all that to do much, but who knows eh?;):-D

@Mimsy.. I agree, same as xmas and Easter etc, the meaning is lost. Me and my wonderful lady are just happy to be together every day, we have a special bond that is rare. We never argue except about silly things like whether or not Iron Maiden are any good or Which episode of Friends is funnier. Seriously, thats it.
We met on a Forum like this, spoke for 3 years and I left a 600 year herratige , all my family and friends and sold everything I owned (Except my guitar and surfboard lol) to be with her.
Done immigration and now am a Perminant resident of Canada, 4.5 years after moving here we are as happy as the first day we met.

It was funny, I'm 6'3" and she's 5'3" and after spending 2 hours in interrogation at Pearson Airport thanks to her ex calling and telling them stories I finally walked out the doors to meet her and quite litterally looked right over her head to the point she actually had to call my name lol

Valentines Day to us is just another day in paradise :)

Anyone want a sick bag? :-D

@Augie... I was going to do that but invited to the inlaws instead lol so maybe I'll make bacon and eggs tomorrow :-D
Although that sounds pretty good, where do you live again? lol

Oh, and yes, we are celebrating Valentine's Day in our own special way. We're sitting in separate rooms, each of us playing a new RPG, he on his computer and me on mine. And we are disgustingly happy this way. :)

LMAO SEE! I sit here chatting to you lot while looking at game stuff and she sits on the desktop pc chatting to her lot about stiching probably (she's a cross stitch designer)
We are supposed to be leaving in 15 minutes and we both just tapping away lol

    I would be playing PS3 but......:cry

I actually said to her a little while ago "Now the PS3 is dead there's a number one spot open for love of my life....if you're interested" lol
She gave me "That look" lol

They sent me a card that said "we're not sure we like you anymore" with a picture of Charlie Brown. I understand that is their version of charging someone with murder.

    @Nedlamar,
Now that my expertise is no longer needed in your PS3 thread, I am going to go back to the town of Tien and beat up any Lotus Assassins I see. Later! :wave

I spent it laying prone on the sofa all day after a long night last night. He wasn't much better. Ugh

It's a silly holiday really. Puts a lot of pressure on people to perform.

Oh no Mimsy, unless you send 20 Hallmark cards in the next 30 days, you will only get rocks in your bag for Halloween, and scraggly Xmas trees for life! :cry

Well, now I KNOW I'm in love with you! LOL What a lucky guy your husband is.

Actually, my wife shares somewhat the same sentiment about the day - differing in that she still loves getting flowers. So this year like all others I had a dozen roses sent to her work. It's easy and it makes her smile, so I don't mind doing it. :)

At any rate, that whole enthusiastic sex for a shiny bauble thing has never, EVER worked for me . . . and I've been through some baubles in my day . . . :-D

On Friday, my Wife, Son and I went to a nice food joint for an all-you-can-eat buffet. She loves it there. Then for her gift I bought her a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates and my Son a bag of Reese's Peanut Butter cups.

I went with a female friend and her kids to Pittsburgh. We started at the International Auto Show, and ended up at an up-scale mall, for a movie and some shopping. I have more pictures, but this Corvette Stingray concept sums up the excitement of the car show.. Also, Nissan had a Skyline GT-R there with an $80,000 USD sticker on it.. WOW.. hmmm... Chevy had a $120,000+ ZR-1..

It was great.. Maybe I'll add more tomorrow.. I left the camera at home.. I took this one with my phone..

I had a good, nonchalant day. Wednesday I go sign my divorce papers, and that should wrap up soon.. LOL Filed on 9/11 and found out it was finishing on Valentine's Day. YES! :major

Ahem. I feel a need to clarify, for the record, that my feelings on the Hallmark hysteria surrounding Valentine's Day do not mean in any way that when I'm met by the words "Your Valentine gift arrived today" when I come home from work, I'm going to refuse that gift.

Especially not when it's a basket-guard rapier with spiral wrapped hilt, a flexible black leather sheath, and a point sharp enough to pierce ear lobes.

    I love my husband. :)
