Hi everyone and thank you for reading my thread.

I am relatively new to VBA programming, but have a decent understanding of programming concepts. I am cross application programming between excel and word to write a gui to generate a custom report.

My question is simple but can have profound implications to the usability of the gui.

I believe there are two strategies to approach this task.

Modify a generic word document that has much of the wording required for the report.

    or

Generate a new word document each time the gui is run and use the code to select the appropriate wording required for the report based on the inputs made on the gui.

I think both strategies will work equally well, but which strategy will prevent unforeseen errors occurring and be easier to code for.

The other issue I am having is coding to adjust figures using the "edit picture"
    function in word.

    I am editing multiple canvases

so moving through each canvas in a document is of interest to me and selecting text boxes objects in a canvas is also of interest.

I hope I have been specific enough. Thanks in advance.
