Planning to purchase 'forum' software, and am partial to vBulletin.
Have participated in different forums, and vBulletin seems the basis for some of the better ones.
Some years ago, think I actually called them and talked with the owner... of course he sold the business, and now its a little more formal.

The vBulletin site has a couple options.
    1. basic forum software
    2. forum + blog + CMS
#2. is considerably more expensive than #1.

Am really just interested in creating a 'forum', not a blog, but would like it to be able to develop it into a nice site, linked to a homepage etc.

Are CMS modules a necessary part ?
Where is a good place to find more about ?

    Thoughts ?
