    hi
i was experiencing really low frames per second on all my games and eventually figured out that it was caused by loads of dust on the processors fan. i cleaned that and it worked fine for a while. then i cleaned the fan on my geforce 6600gt grafics card aswell after there was 2 instances that i had to turn my computer off without shuting down because of crashes and somtimes the screen turning black.
when i switched comp on after cleaning geforce strange stuff happened. first i got back checksum problem with CMOS then when i chose F2 (run with normal settings) i got a screen saying 'Vclass' in the startup process that i have never seen befor and have no idea what it is. also one time the windows xp screen went very weird and was changing color and fragmented. the date changed twice once to 1999 and once to 2099. and once a box from windows poped up saying that it had allowed an adobe exe file to install itself.
    this all sounds very scary.
i updated norton antivirus and zonealarm and spybot and adaware and ran spybot and adaware. all seems to be fine now but that nigaling Vclass screen still remains when i start my computer.
    Very strange! :( :( :(

    Hi

Some strange occurances indeed, best option and the one to rule out malware as the cause will be to follow the below guide.

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
      • CounterSpy - ONLY IF you were not able to run Windows Defender
      • Bitdefender - from step 6
      • Panda Scan - from step 6
      • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
      • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
      • HijackThis
NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!
