vcleaner.....................

Does the above have any value after using it once to remove viruses found by AVG? I have it on my desktop and wondered if periodically running it will unearth anything. Should the comp always be in safe mode when running vcleaner? If I were to run it in regular mode, what is the worse scenario? Do I need to download it every time it is used to make sure it has the most current properties in it? Just some questions mulling thru my mind. Thanx
