Veracrypt - How To Copy Encrypted File Container To New Computer

System: Windows 10 Home

When I backup data from my laptop, the backup includes the encrypted volume container (not partition) that contains my personal data.

When I buy a new laptop I need to copy the encrypted file container to the new machine.

Is the following the correct procedure for copying the backed up encrypted file container to the new machine?
(1) On New machine install Veracrypt and create the new volume
(2) Mount the new volume.
(3) Copy the backed up encrypted volume to the new machine
(4) Mount the backed up encrypted volume
(5) Copy all files from the backed up encrypted volume to the new volume
(6) Unmount both volumes
