    Hi,

Is there a way to verify that my HD is actually running in SATA-II mode (Seagate 7200.10, 320 GB drive)

I've run Everest diags, and of course it shows the drive is a SATA-II capable drive, but I don't see anywhere in Windows or the BIOS (Intel D975XBX2 MB) where I can actually see the current transfer mode.

Any ideas on how to do this?

    Yes
Go to Device manager, ATA/ATAPI controllers, Serial controller, Primary Channel then your transfer mode should be listed ( you can also run speed test)

    here's mine

Interesting. Obviously the Nvidia chipset provides info that the Intel Chipset doesn't.

Here's what I get with my MB
