Very new to all this - need help with LOP

Hi there
I am VERY new to all this (so apologise for any repeated qustions - or not knowing where to look), and I am trying very hard to rid my PC of all nasties (thanks to teenage daughter! Have recently downloaded Spybot and Adaware SE and also Spywareblaster - which work well. But seem to have this LOP menu bar appear whenever I open Explorer. And WILL NOT close or delete.
Any info greatly appreciated! (please, in lay-man's terms !!)

Yes LOP is a pest I had on my comp for a while till I decided to actually visit LOP.com and discovered to my bewilderment that they have a fix!!

www.lop.com/new_uninstall.exe

Download and run this file on each login user and a-presto! All Done!

Restart your computer.

Best to also run Ad-Ware and SpyBot plus a Virus Checker after that just to make sure

We usually dont request users to run uninstallers as they are not trusted completely. However as a last resort we sometimes do. Thanks for the information though.

I would like for you to please follow ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

After doing ALL of the above if you still have a problem:

• Download HijackThis 1.99.1

• Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

• Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the ZIP file.

• Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

• Run HijackThis and save your log file.

• Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next post. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).
