I'm sorry but you are not having malware problems. It is your PC specs. You logs show the below information
    Code:
    Time Zone Central Daylight Time
    Total Physical Memory 512.00 MB
    Available Physical Memory 182.54 MB

    Drive C:
    Description Local Fixed Disk
    Size 25.13 GB (26,987,143,168 bytes)
Free Space 1.36 GB (1,460,338,688 bytes)
This shows you do not have enough memory to properly run current versions of Windows XP and your other software (like the resource hungry McAfee). And the free disk space is also way too low to be able to run Windows efficiently.

Since you are not having malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Go back to step 6 oof the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    4. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    5. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    7. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

    Chaslang,

The properties of my C drive indicate 14.4 GB of used space with 10.6 unused.

I am writing you from my office computer and am looking directly at the C drive properties.

Last week I removed 6.12 GB of files on this laptop to another computer. I have not put anything on it since.

I don't understand unless I sent you an old log report. All of the logs should be dated 6/21 or 6/22/2010.

    Thanks,

    Horseman

    Chaslang,

I understand you correctly - my memory capacity is the problem and I need to put in more.

It is strange, however, that it is only recently that the computer slowed to a crawl and I have had the same stuff on it for almost 2 years.

Yes this was the problem. Apparently you did not finish a thread the last time you were here and never ran final instructions to remove tools and logs. Thus you had an old log from 3/8/2010 inside of MGtools which I happened to click on. The newer log showed
    Code:
    Size 25.13 GB (26,987,143,168 bytes)
Free Space 10.66 GB (11,449,831,424 bytes)

This is really not true. You have had hundreds of different updates to Windows, McAfee, .....etc. Every update adds a straw to the camels back. ;) And perhaps you have finally hit the point where your lack of memory is becoming extremely obvious. We recommend no less than 1 GB with Win XP but 2 GB is highly preferably especially with older slower and not dual or quad core processor types ( all of which defines your processor: Processor x86 Family 6 Model 13 Stepping 8 GenuineIntel ~1595 Mhz )
