Very strange (typing) problem!

Hi all!

I myself find it really strange, but it may be very simple, sometimes we miss the small and simple details.
Anyway, I want to start by saying that everything was "normal", performance is great, no problems there, then the computer freezes while playing a game, a reset is performed, then the following thing happened:

You can still switch between languages, you can still write in any one of them using any editors you want. You can even write in the address bar in IE, but ONLY when trying to use language other than English (United States) in the search text box of any web form (Google, for instance) will result in strange characters (brackets, Latin letters while the language I want doesn't contain them).

I even can see the icon changing at the language bar but with no use, I still can't write in the text box. (But I can write in other application, run box, or other places)

So, have you encountered this before? confused:cry

 

Is the keyboard language set to English (US)?

Go to control panel > regional & language options.

Check in there.

 

I checked everything, everything's fine.
I'm starting to suspect the "Code page conversion tables".
A kid (my relative) was playing on the computer just before this problem happened, so could it be that he unchecked somethings and checked others?

Actually, he was playing that game that freezed before the reset operation I talked about in my first post.

 

In Internet Explorer, click tools > internet options, and then click languages at the bottom. What appears there?
