Very Strange

i had a problem for a couple of days and i just wondered if anyone else had suffered the same.

i could log on to any site i wanted to I.E MGs my Bank or ISP and so on but any site where i had to log in it refused to accept me for instance with MGs i could get into the site and read all posts,download from the site but could not enter my log in, every time i did it gave 1 of 2 responses it either said "your browser has given a command this site can not understand" or it sent me back to the home page.

i had to begin a process of elimination by uninstalling programs 1 by 1 trying to log on if unsuccessful re installing it and moving on to the next one, it took me 2 days to find the problem as i have a lot installed on the PC, when i had run out of things to try i uninstalled FF and downloaded a fresh copy from MGs immmediately i was able to log in to all sites.

i can only think it was a program for translation from Dutch to English that i had embedded in FF that caused the problem and i have not reinstalled it so i am back to full operation.

any thought on this will be received with thanks

 

Is your antispyware treating your translation program as a keylogger and blocking it?

 

It must be a possibility but i have not re embedded it i am running it as a seperat file now and all seems good so i will leave it that way.

i only embedded it in the first place to try it and then forgot it was there.
