Very Weak wireless signals.

I cannot afford to buy an expensive wireless internet.My friend in neighbour agreed that i can use his nonsecure wireless signal with my usb wireless stick.But signals are very very weak.He told that he cannot help me in repositioning his wireless router.
I wanna know if there is any way or anteena to use to get more of signals from his distance wireless router?????

 

is this a laptop or desktop? if it's a desktop you might want to get a wireless card with an antenna on it.

It is a Laptop,Compaq.I have got wireless card and using.But it does not have any antena.
There is no point in Laptop where i can attach any wire antenna

 

I just told him about your rsuggestion.He said he is not a technical person like me ,does not know networking.Plus thre are no peoples living around to steal his signals.
I think i should place any wire antenna around my laptop( like a radio set) but wanna know at whap point in Laptop should i connect a wire??
