    Hello,
I have an electronics training DVD and would like to capture a few short clips from it to
place on my desktop in any format that windows media player can support.

There is a few parts I want to see again but it's a pain having to keep moving the slider
back and forth to get the right bit each time I want to see the specific part.

It's a Windows 7 machine with 3 gig of memory but no video capture card so I need to do it
from the computers own DVD drive.

What software would you recommend for doing this :confused

    Hi

Possible is Windows Movie Maker, may allow you to edit, its free so worth a go.

or the neatest small app I have used in the past to grab whats on the screen is CamStudio and its free, works in Windows 7 as I used it to record bug steps for the beta/RC etc
