video card help!!

    I am building my first computer and wondering what a good video card in the range of $200 or less would be, i am on a budget and looking for the best performance to dollar ratio, i wanna be able to run some newer games.....my computer i have now won't boot most games and my gf's plays pretty choppy on some of the higher graphic ones. any suggestions appreciated, thanks in advance.
