Video Card not up to date

I have a hp Pavillion dv6-1260se Artist Edition laptop it came with windows vista 64 bi but I got a free upgrade to 7 when it came out I installed the 4 bit windows 7 and right after that it has been telling me that "there is no ati hardware or driver detected you may need to reinstall the driver or see if the driver is up to date" so I reinstalled the driver for my videocard ATI Radeon 4650. It is still telling me that my video card is not up to date, I can't even play solitaire because of the video card. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Was the computer working correctly with Vista?

 

yes it was fine with vista only after installing 7 has the problem started

 

but it took 2 days for the problem to start

 

Click on the windows orb (start button) and right-click on "computer" and choose "manage" from the menu. Authenticate if necessary. In the window that opens, click on device manager in the left hand side. Look through the list in the main area of the window. Are there any objects with a yellow ? or any other symbol on them?

 

thank you it's ironic I had a friend come over who did exactly that and fixed it for me. At least now I know exactly what he did. Thank you for your help
