i am looking to upgrade my video card but my power supply is limited to 250Watts. I want a 512MB video card on a accelerated graphics port but every video card i look at says min. of a 350 watt power supply. Do you thank i need a new power supply to upgrade my video card to a good one or do you know a 512MB accelerated graphics port Video Card that can work on a 250 watt power supply. Thanks for you help. Let me know if you need more info

PClover, I would say that it's just impossible. I would be surprised if 250W PSU could hold any VGA at all. I would suggest a nVidia 6800Gs with a PSU of 400W. Don't choose the power supply thinking about the price. A nice Tagan or Chieftec will perform far better than a cheap Q-tech. Check how many A it can give in the 12V scale. If it's below 18A pic anotherone.
Good luck with the upgrade ;)

but if its a prebuilt like a Dell then you cant fit a new PSU into is (usually) Is this custom built or one you bought? If so, what brand?
