Video Card

I installed a d815 intel board in a comp and thought every thing was fine..then it got where the pixcels were distorted and you could hardly see the images. the comp has win98 se as an os system. I tried every way to adjust it..the slider in properties won't move..no option to change any thing. It says in device manager that it is working fine..i have 256 meg of ram. I hooked it to another monitor that is a known goodie and still no good graphics. any ideas??confused

I might mention that i bought the board and processor off e-bay

 

Did you reinstall the OS? You may need to do that. Otherwise you can try reinstalling the mobo chipset drivers. Also even thought there are no exclamation marks in the device manager, try reinstalling the video drivers anyway.

 

I did reinstall the os system....i don't have the chipset drivers...i did not get any thing with the mobo...drivers..etc

 

what board were you using before? if its a different chipset then you're gonna need to reinstall the OS

You can go to intel.com and download drivers for your board there. There's a chance you have a seperate video card as well. You'll need to find out what your video card is and download and install drivers for that as well.
