video cards

I have an Intel(R) 82815 Graphics Controller but I need one of these with T&L (which I have no idea what that is) can anyone tell me what's best for a low price (under $50) and how would I know if I need DDR or SDR or one of the many others? Would it be the same as my SDR RAM? Thanks everyone

I don't know if i have an apg slot. I have three slots in the back of my crappy low line gateway.....one slot open. I think it is on-board though. If it is is there no way to get a graphics card????!!

 

if you can open your case and look inside, the white slots you see are PCI slots, and if you have an AGP slot, it should be a brown one above the white ones.

if you dont have an AGP slot, you are very limited in what you can upgrade to, as PCI video cards are very limited.

You can get a Radeon 9200 PCI for a reasonable price, and its much better than that Intel graphics chipset, I'm telling you!

Perhaps not under $50, but probably pretty close
