My WMV files won't play right anymore. The sound is fine but the picture is garbled. Other video formats such as avi divix and xvid all work fine. The wmv was working properly until today I don't know why it went haywire but it did. I am using XP with service pack 2 and am currently using the windows media player as my default. Do I need to reinstall codecs? Please help.

I second the recommendations for VLC Media Player!!!

IMO, this is a must have program.

I'll never piss around with codecs again!

VLC works well for files. Is there a way to use it when streaming video off the net? like on ebaums world for example?
