As many MG regulars might know (or not), I'm always on the lookout for good free video programs: converters, editors, whatever. On yesterday's front page (Feb 17 2011) we had VideoMach and it's labeled as freeware, but the free version dumps a watermark on the output file for 5 seconds at the start, and the only way to use the program is to click on "Register", then leave the boxes blank, then click "OK". Weird. From what I read of the description, I think it might be a pretty good program, but the watermark is kind of lame. I have NOT yet used VideoMach (I will later tonight after I get home from work), and I'll check out the functionality. A 5 second watermark at the start of the file is not really a big deal and I can easily simply cut off the first 6 seconds of the output video, but the fact that it's even there in the first place is lame, especially since the program claims to have full functionality (like the paid "Professional" version) except for the watermark. Weird.

(I'll post my thoughts on functionality later tonight or tomorrow if anyone cares ;) )
