Hello, I need help. MY comp won't let me run the game( EA sports Tiger Woods PGA2002 ).
When I try to play the game the error message appears: "DirectX is reporting that there is not enough memory to run the game" then the following: "The instruction at '0x21111ba3' referenced memory at '0x2548cd8' The memroy could not be 'read'

My computer --- Dell Dimension 8400
    CPU ------------- 3.2GHz P4
    Hard disc ------- 160GB
    Memory--------- 1GB ram
    Video memory-- 256MB (dedicated)
Video card------- ATI Radeon X850XT PE

Don't know what to do with this game. It runs all right with my other laptop, though.

    My laptop--------- Toshiba Satellite A75-s229
    CPU--------------- 3.2GHz
    Hard disc--------- 80GB
    Memory---------- 512MB
    Video memory--- 128MB (shared)
Video card------- ATI Radeon 9000 IGP

So far I have done installing the patches the EA sports recommended, which didnt work.

All I can really suggest is to try updating the video card drivers.

You might also want to just look in the ea forums. Unless there is something horribly wrong with your computer odds are someone else is also having this problem, so you might find better help over there.

also be sure your chipset drivers are up to date, and you have the latest verison of DirectX installed correctly (to test this, run dxdiag-- Start>Run>dxdiag)

what's the difference between video card driver and chipset driver?
As for the video card driver, it's up to date.
DirectX is also latest, which is 9.0c., and everything runs fine.

Somebody suggests I should check BIOS. As far as I know, my computer(dell 8400) has phoenix rom bios plus version 1.01 A03. Don't know why he suggests that, though.

    Chipset drivers=motherboard drivers.

It's not likely to be an issue with the bios or chipset drivers.

You'd really be best checking the EA forum. Odds are the answer to this EXACT problem is already there.

There is an off chance it's some bad memory on the video card or your ram. Although odds are it's some minor issue with the game itself and not the computer.
