video playing real choppy

for some reason when I try to play a video on youtube or any other site that allows you to play videos,my video keeps skipping.It would play for about 5 seconds and then pause on its own for a few seconds and start playing again and then pause again after a few seconds.It keeps doing this over and over again.I have no idea how to fix this problem.can anybody tell me how can I fix this problem?I have windows xp

 

Try letting the video load in its entirety before watching. Usually thats why it pauses and plays because its not fully loaded yet.

 

lol I been tried that before I even posted my question on here.do you have any other suggestions or anything else I can try to fix it

 

well in that case it may be attributed to either not enough bandwidth or your graphics card, you also dont say what kind of connection your using.

I tried everything in that guide and it didnt work.another thing my computer is real fast,I have the best connection you can have,a cable modem.another thing this problem just started about 2 or 3 weeks ago.do u have any other suggestions for me

Sometimes there is nothing you can do. I may just be youtube's servers. There are alot of people seeming to have trouble with their videos as of late.
