viewing hidden files on vista pro

Hello,

My computer has some sort of malware that I'm trying to remove. I am going over thesedirections on how to get that taken care of but it asks that I reveal hidden files. I tried doing that with theseintructions and several others I found on the web. My problem is that the "Folder and Search Option" is grayed out and I don't have a Folder Options in my control panel, either. I'm sure this is the doing of the malware I contracted. Is there another way to get to this setting?
